Miracles of Nature Shadow Puppet Film
During January we will be working in schools to explore Miracles of Nature as part of Shepton Mallet's Snowdrop Festival.

We'll be exploring everything from BIG miracles - like did you know the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) dance across the sky in polar regions, and that this is caused by solar particles hitting Earth's atmosphere?

To the amazing way that Ants build underground cities and work as a team to create complex tunnels and chambers.

From the Migration of Monarch Butterflies
Millions who fly thousands of miles every year to the same forests to the mighty Snowdrop - did you know snowdrops can survive frost and snow thanks to a special anti-freeze chemical in their cells.

Sessions will involve exploring miracles of nature, the story of James Allen and snowdrops and environmental themes the children would like to highlight.
They will then bring these to life through Shadow Puppetry exploring its history, techniques and tips before creating their own puppets and making this into a short film to be premiered at Shepton Mallet Snowdrop Festival.
