We are looking to appoint a freelance communications specialist to support our summer festivals

We are looking for someone to join our team on a freelance basis (possible extension subject to funding).
This post is approx. 1 day per week. Approx. 8 - 10 days from End of April / beginning of May until mid July.
​
Fee £130 - £160 per day. depending on experience.
​
Core elements of the role
-
Writing press and communications for our summer festivals - All the World's Our Playground Festival and Frome's Theatre Playground
-
Support MTS to achieve some high-level coverage in quarterly magazines, local media and arts publications
-
Ensuring young people's voices and ideas are highlighted in our marketing and communications
-
Designing MTS social media content
-
Supporting with design and branding for our summer festivals
-
Supporting with newsletters and communications
-
Supporting with booking and admin processes
-
Updating the website and liaising with companies to ensure up to date copy.

This role is open to a more experienced communications enthusiast or to someone who can write amazing copy and wants to develop their skills and work as part of a fun and creative team!
​
This is an exciting time to join Make the Sunshine as we embark on the five year anniversary of All the World's Our Playground Festival with an incredible programme of national and international theatre companies.

Stewards to support with community events

Volunteers to support ad-hoc theatre performances and outreach sessions

Volunteers to support our creative communities sessions monthly

Ad hoc technical support at events

Support with distribution and promotion

Chaperones to support ad hoc evening performances

Admin support

All volunteers need to have a DBS Check and undertake relevant safeguarding training.
